Nano Macro Workholding System

The need to remove a mold component from a machine tool, inspect it and postition it back to the same center (within .000030) for final machining lead to the collaboration of PDC, 3 R Tooling, and Herman Schmidt Co. to develop the system shown here (photo to right).

Used on the V22 Machining Center, Edge 2 EDM, and Nikon VMR, the system allows our moldmakers to confidently reposition components and take cuts as small as .000050.
